
Killer Automata
A fast-paced, retro style top-down shooter
Killer Automata was developed in 7 weeks in the Spring of 2023 by myself and four others during a university class. We all did a little bit of everything, which for me included gameplay design, programming, level design, and some sprite work. One of my main focuses was on the audio of our game. I created and implemented each sound effect present in the game, as well as a short music loop. All of the audio was created with the retro pixel art aesthetic of the game in mind. I also did a large amount of gameplay design and programming on the project, including creating the bowling alley level and the reflecting shield mechanic for example.
